#1 | About The Agile Growth Entrepreneur Newsletter
A weekly newsletter about my journey in building a Venture Studio with insights, curated news, content, events, job postings, resources for founders and the Startup Studio community.
The Agile Parallel Entrepreneur Newsletter is a weekly newsletter about my journey in building a Venture Studio with insights, curated news, content, events, job postings, and resources for Founders and the Startup Studio community.
I have wanted to start a newsletter for over 10 years but could never bring myself to do it. Amongst my friends, I share a great deal of content via text messages and WhatsApp and wanted to share more broadly with people that are in the same boat as I am in building more than one company at once; in my case a venture studio.
Hi, I'm Amaete Umanah, an Agile Parallel Entrepreneur, Fund Manager, and 3x founder. I am the founder and Managing Partner of Seraphim Venture Studios where we build companies from the ground up and invest in early-stage startups. Everything we do at Seraphim Venture Studios is to inspire people to turn Africa’s problems into global solutions, so that, together, each of us can change the lives of Africans for a better future.
I imagine an Africa in which the vast majority of people wake up every single morning inspired, feel safe wherever they are, and end the day fulfilled by the work they do. I believe the best way to build this Africa is to commit to building it together.
With over 20 years of experience as a multi-disciplinary, I have been featured on CNN Marketplace Africa, TechCrunch Battlefield Africa, VentureBeat, Gulf Weekly (Bahrain), and many other news publications.
As the founder of Silicon Africa, a group that consists of start-up founders, investors, industry professionals, and enthusiasts of African descent living on the continent or in the diaspora, I have leveraged my 20-year experience in mentoring, advising, and influencing collaborative workspaces with over 12,000 members.
Inspired by my father to pursue my dreams, I believe in changing the world and impacting society through sustainable agriculture and food processing. I enjoy mentoring young entrepreneurs and helping marginalized communities through my philanthropic efforts.
I enjoy making wine, reading books, creative art like movies and documentaries, listening to Lo-fi Hip-hop, playing and walking my dogs, stargazing with my telescope, traveling, and meeting new people.
